Job Description- Design Sales/Office Manager

The ideal candidate will have excellent creative thinking skills and be able to work efficiently in an office environment with a client and design/build team. The candidate should be confident in communicating regularly with the client/design team in order to assess needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. This candidate knows how to sell interior design products, manage the office environment and employees, and how to create and execute deliverables in residential projects from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

  • Create Proposals for client purchases in Studio Designer based on proposed designs provided in design presentations by Designers in office.

  • Collaborate with Principal designer on projects and manage execution on project deliverables.

  • Provide project management to verify that designs are executed efficiently with contractors, sub-contractors and industry partners.

  • Communicate effectively with client, vendors and team in order to address client’s needs.

  • Maintain the office environment by ordering supplies, answering phones, running errands, updating material library and maintaining general office appearance.

  • Maintain industry knowledge in order to stay relevant.

  • Create Proposals for client purchases in Studio Designer.

  • Direct a small team of designers and assist principal designer in sales and office duties.

  • Travel as required to job sites, design events and vendor locations.

Latham Interiors is an award-winning high-end residential design studio in an enviable mountain environment. Designers will assist project teams and gain experience at different phases of projects by utilizing their skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or hand sketching to produce working and presentation drawings. In addition, they will assist with research and selection of furniture and finishes.

A Sales/Office Manager will manage sales proposals, in-office vendor presentations, general office environment, and attend weekly studio meetings.

Requirements:

  • Background in sales, management and/or interior design

  • Full-Time position

  • Strong user of Google Suite, understanding of Studio Designer or willingness to learn

  • Strong conceptual, communication and organizational skills

  • General knowledge of current residential furniture, material and building finish products a plus

  • Amazing communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to be assertive and clear with vendors and staff.
